Commune-a- Vision is a 1986 copyrighted prelude to the internet; a communications adventure in an advanced view and be-viewed network, providing a vehicle for subscribers to perform and sell themselves; sing, dance, do comedy, and or host their own talk show. It's up to the participants to master the possibilities, and for governments and unscrupulous individuals to corrupt.
Synopsis of Commune-A-Vision - Prelude to the Internet
Commune-A-Vision - A Communications Adventure
I started writing Commune-A-Vision at the beginning of PC error in 1985. I conceived an idea where all the cable companies would come to create Commune-a-Vision. Today it looks a lot like the Internet.
Commune-A-Vision is a communications comedy adventure in an advanced view and be-viewed cable network. The story is about today's computer age and where cable networks have evolved.
AJ Stone 35 years old, the protagonist and creator of Commune-A-Vision, is motivated by a simple desire to provide a human point of reference for growth and success for all caring and loving people.
Commune-A-Vision begins innocently as a Subscriber network, utilizing cable TV networks, to allow Subscribers to tune into any other Subscriber's home in the United States. That is during their scheduled Air-Time. It provides a vehicle for subscribers to perform and sell themselves; sing, dance, do comedy, and or host their own talk show. It's up to the participants to master the possibilities.
A subscriber through the Commune-A-Vision central computer may choose to view any individual by profession, by name, or any individual within any state, city, or town of the country.
Subscriber's homes are equipped with wide angle cameras and personal computers which provide access to the central Commune-A-Vision computer, so that they can check their air time, personal ratings, and Subscriber's programming Guide.
Commune-A-Vision's popularity soars with AJ's creation of the Commune-A-Vision Academy Awards, with categories ranging from the Most Humorous, the Most Detrimental and to the Most Loving Family, which is to be awarded the largest of prizes of three million dollars. All this motivation provides many humorous and touching subscriber situations, as they are observed striving to become award winners and accomplish their goals.
AJ has the opportunity to achieve wealth if Commune-A-Vision is profitable, providing he lives to collect. AJ is haunted by his ex-girlfriend Lucille's nightmares of his death should Commune-A-Vision become a reality - an Omen which he doesn't take seriously.
The story follows AJ as he tries to keep Commune-A-Vision pure and alive. Commune-A-Vision's idealistic intentions are diluted by Juan, a terrorist, who during a family's air time coincidently enters their home. He then holds a mother and two children hostage. The uncensored suspense and horror of the episode is observed by the father, who is suspected of black marketing weapons with the aid of the CIA. The plot thickens as the CIA and the Russians become aware of the potential of Commune-A-Vision.
Commune-A-Vision's best intentions are further marred by the embarrassment of the "I Forgots" those who forgot that it was their scheduled air time and they were on the air.
Commune-A-Vision's future is threatened by the Users, those who use Commune-A-Vision for less than growth and entertainment. There is the mistress who gains access to her lover's family.
There are those who would use Commune-A-Vision to gain advanced knowledge of the head of the Federal Reserve System data and the direction of interest rates for substantial financial rewards. While AJ struggles to keep Commune-A-Vision alive, he falls in love with PJ Moran, a young, egotistical movie star, whose cocaine habit and nymphomaniac tendencies place AJ in a fragile psychological position. Commune-A-Vision begins to fall apart as news that Commune-A-Vision's security system is being compromised by those who hacked the system and are able to view subscribers when their cameras security systems are by-passed. AJ is suspected of also misusing the security system to spy on PJ Moran. Under extreme pressure AJ must clear his name and restore confidence in Commune-A-Vision before all is lost for himself and all those who sought a future through Commune-A-Vision.
Anyway, all of the above provides for: Loving, Learning, Growing, Sex, Violence, Drugs and Rock and Roll. The extremes in humor and terror leave your mind pleasantly exhausted.
Synopsis of Don't Cry Pop - Son returns to help his father find a reason to live.
Joe, a once fun loving and optimistic individual, from the moment that his only child Joey, at the age of twenty-one is killed in a motorcycle accident. He treads the day that anyone will asks the question, "How are you doing?" Knowing that the question will only cause him pain, and his only true response would be, "Not good today and not good for as far as I can see." He also fears the question that is often asked, "Do you have any kids?" Unable to deal with the loss, and the pain, he closes his business, sells his home and moves away. Retreating from his brothers, sister, nephews and nieces that would be a constant family reminder that Joey is missing; like in the movie, "Back to The Future," where the image of a family member fades away in a photograph. Unable to move his life forward, each night as he lies in his bed, he prays for one wish from God, to die and be placed by Joey's side and help him in his next life, whether it be heaven or hell. Hopefully in heaven and hopefully Joey and he have earned their wings.
But this story is not his own. It's is also his son Joey's. Fortunate, Joey makes it to heaven, but cannot deal with the pain he has caused his parents and especially his father, who he must help to find a reason for living before his wish to die is fulfilled. Despite all the heavenly rules, Joey is determined to return to earth and is finally granted his wish. He will return as a guardian angel, to help other kids to understand their limitations. During his free time, he can search for solutions to encourage his father to want to live and make it possible for him to answer the questions he resents and fears with a positive response. “Joe, how are you doing?” and “Do you have any kids?”
The story begins on a Fourth of July weekend with Joey at his uncles Vic's home. Joey is outside with his cousins and friends as is ready to mount a Japanese two-wheel rocket motorcycle. While inside his Joey's father is on the phone with his older brother Vic who asks if he would like to talk to his son. Joe responds, "I'm on my up to your house, I see him when I get there."
In brother Vic's driveway, Joey is surrounded by his cousins and a friend who's bike he is going to ride. Joey asks for a helmet and is told it's not legally required in Connecticut. The engine roars as he starts it up. He has ridden motor cycles before, but not one this powerful. Putting the bike in gear, he drives off slowly, getting the fell of the bike. After a short time, his confidence strengthens, he accelerates as he approaches a turn. Downshifting, he smoothly maneuvers through the turn. Coming onto a straight away, he accelerates to a speed making his heart race, satisfied he begins to slow down to about fifty. A car is approaching and without signaling begins to go into a driveway not calculating Joey's speed. Joey hits the brake, the car stops, but he swings around the car and is forced to the shoulder of the road which begins to curve slightly to the left and is made up of loose gravel. Joey attempts to shift up, put unfamiliar with the bike he down shifts instead. The bike begins to slide sideways and leaning toward a fall. Trying to recover, he knows he's going down. Joey and the bike hit the ground, moving at fifty miles an hour, the bike continues sliding sideways – sailing through the air. Eyes wide open, Joey watches as he and bike nail a mail box post, taking it down. From there he watches as he floats with the bike through a group of small tries. His eyes widen as his leg hits a six inch wide tree, hearing and feeling his right calf snap as his body hits the ground, he watches as his bike flips over and over as he does the same. Finally feeling the pain on the back of his head as it meets with large embedded rock. Lights out, Joey unconscious, begins hallucinating and starts visioning images of his life passing before him.
Time passes as his uncle Vic, Joey's cousins, and friends listen to the sound of an ambulance and police approach and pass. Not wanting to believe the worse they follow the procession of sirens.
Joey’s opens his eyes for a moment to see his uncle Vic, who tells him he's going to be okay. He then closes his eyes, as paramedics prepare him for an airlift as a helicopter approaches.
In Joe's New York City condo, he shares a scene he is writing on his computer screen with his girlfriend Suanne. The scene describes his brother Vic with his son Joey at a much younger age. Suddenly, everything on the computer screen begins flashing and all the text begins disappearing and the phone rings. It's Joey's cousin Carmine on the phone, letting him know that Joey had motorcycle accident, and his brother Vic is with him, and he better get up to Connecticut right away. It's not until time passes, that Joe would look back to realize that maybe the text disappearing was a sign from Joey.
As Joe walks out of his condo, he comes face to face with an eight by ten inch plaque on the wall of his son Joey. At the age of six, Joey sits on a mini bike which they had rebuilt together - the type built with a lawnmower engine. An image will haunt him with guilt.
Just prior to Joey’s accident, Joe felt that he's done everything right. Joey and he had made it through many good times with some real rough patches, and he was now working hard, taking classes at the Art Institute of NYC. Pop, as Joey would call him, felt he could write a book on parenting. And now, his guilt makes him feel like he was responsible for his death. So how great of a father was he? If he wouldn't have taught him how to play and provided him with all the toys and experiences he never had: the mini bike, skateboarding, skiing, windsurfing, and sailing he would be alive that day. Unfortunately, there would other family and friends that would say they feel that, if only, they would have done something different Joey would be alive today. A mother, if she would have asked him to stay for the barbecue at home. His girlfriend, if she would have accepted a date with Joey the night before he wouldn't have gone to Connecticut.
Joey, during his indoctrination to heaven, learns the answers to what heaven and hell is truly all about, and the options we all have in the live in the hereafter. Then after his training as a guardian angel he returns to earth, hopefully in time to save his father from his demise.
The story continues from two perspectives. Switching from Joey's and then Pop's.
Joey's perspective is made clear from visions of his memories, spread out in chronological order and are relate to his guardian angel responsibilities as it pertains to the kids he is teaching to learn their limitations. He deals with issues including sex and etc. He reflects back to his life to help the kid make decisions. While working as a guardian angel he also passes on signs and messages to loved ones on earth from those in heaven.
In a search for peace, Pop subconsciously and consciously searches through psychics, support groups, friends of Joey and finally through death itself for the answers to his future.

Synopsis of Out of Control
BASED ON TRUE EVENTS AND CHARACTERS FROM THE MEDICAL JOURNALS OF U.C.L.A.
"Out of Control" is a story where the "Crying Game" meets "Basic Instinct. Gene Westwood a vice detective who is presently working undercover as addict into a 12-step program, for love and sex addiction looking to uncover the killer in a series of sadistic sex crimes. While doing so he sees a side of human behavior in himself in a new and disturbing light.
Our story begins as a feminine voice of doom states, "Come on, that was fun, now let me down. This isn’t fun anymore.” Handcuffs are draped over a basement's leaking gas pipe which dig into the wrist of THERESA. She is standing on her toes, naked - sexually satisfied, before she stops breathing, dead from the leaking gas pipe. She is later identified as a member of a 12-step program for love and sexual addiction.
Days later, in another part of town, GENE an unorthodox L.A. vice detective with a theatrical flair. A voyeur video tapes Gene's bust of an exotic Russian looking, OLGA - an assumed prostitute, among other girls on a street corner. Failing to report the arrest prior to the video being sold to the news media. Police authorities are unaware and unable to explain the incident, which is publicized as a possible cover-up, involving police corruption in prostitution. The situation escalates, prompting the L.A. Department of Internal Affairs to get involved. The incident is instantly played down after Gene breaks a notorious teenage prostitution ring, explaining the infamous bust in the video as a shake down for information used in the breaking of the case. Promoted to homicide, Gene is assigned to take over Theresa's case, for having busted Theresa in the past for prostitution.
Shocked to learn of her notoriety, Olga a professor of anthropology, must explains her playful actions to the dean of U.S.C. as a study into the mindset of a prostitute.
That evening leaning over the balcony of a Malibu waterfront home, Olga makes love to Gene. She thanks him for setting up the erotic charade and arrest.
In an apartment off Santa Monica Blvd. a strangulation has taken the life of DALE CRANE another member of a sexual addiction program. Forensics mill about Dale's room, an apron string is tied tightly and neatly into a bow around his neck. Gene meets his new partner, WOODY, a young, mild mannered Michigan detective, who is L.A. to study big city law enforcement. Gene finds Woody amusing, likable, and naive. He takes Woody under his wing who looks to Gene as his hero and mentor.
Olga at home is joined by her cousin SHARON, who is dropping off her cat, while she vacations. Sharon has already acquired a dislike for Gene for taking Olga back onto a destructive addictive sexual path and lets Olga know it.
Gene's loving feelings for Olga builds rapidly as Olga remains reserved while he is going undercover as love and sex addict. He asks Olga's advice on how he should act, believing he isn't a sexual addict as Olga has admitted to being. She tells him to, "Just be yourself." Who would know better, being that the 12-step program is where Gene first met Olga. Idle curiosity, Gene explains is reason for attending the meetings.
In a restaurant, Olga argues with ANDREW, a model type, who tells her that you can eliminate people from your life, but not the memories.
A coroner explains to Gene and Woody that no semen was found in either Theresa's or Dale's killings, however a male DNA from a buccal saliva smear was recovered. It appeared that the killer was the same in both cases. Leading the coroner, along with other clues, and one victim was a male and the other a female, it is believed that the killer was bi-sexual and possibly a transsexual.
Gene when first attended Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, he thought what a great place to meet woman who enjoyed sex as much as himself. He soon learns that a love and sexual obsession, like other addictions, is when one's life becomes immobilized, distracted by such activities until he or she puts their life and those they love in danger, eventually destroying their own emotionally, and possibly financially. Listening to others in the group Gene then begins to evaluate his actions, to see if the shoe fits, not that he knows what he will do if he believes he is a love and sex addict.
Woody follows up on Gene's leads running into Andrew as he questions the group leader of the sex and addiction program that Gene had just attended. While there, unable to gather names of others who attend the meetings as it is an anonymous organization and no list is available. He observes Olga, leaving and gets her license plate, so that he can interview her.
The following day, Gene and Olga continue to sexualize their joys and frustrations, playing out their sexual fantasies testing life and death, with orgasms dealing with strangulations. After they lay back both sexually exhausted. Olga explains that she enjoys sex, but wants to return to more loving and tender love making. And that she went to the sex and love addiction program as part of a thesis she was working on, unlike Gene who thought it was a great place to meet over sexed women. She goes on further to tell him that he is also a sex addict. Gene argues that he believes that he just rather enjoy sex than shoot hoops with the guys and suggest that Olga is not being honest and if anyone is a sex addict it’s her. Annoyed not wanting to accept Olga’s evaluation, he leaves without a word.
Woody tracks down Olga to observe Gene exiting her driving way, with Olga standing at the open front door dressed in long sexy negligee. He has never met her, but now recognizes her from the infamous video. It's obvious to Woody that they have something going on. He decides not to question Olga and wait to talk to Gene. After confronting Gene, he explained his relationship with Olga and that there is no need to question her as he already did so. Gene suggest that he join Olga and him later that evening for dinner at her home.
The evening is enjoyable to all until Woody playfully suggest that they use the questions in a 12-step program pamphlet as a parlor game. At the conclusion of their little game Woody jokes that he wouldn't want Gene to date his sister. As the evening closes Olga's cousin Sharon returns for her cat. She shows her animosity for Gene as he and Woody depart. Olga and Sharon talk and Olga realizes that her sexual addiction is again out of control and she asks Sharon to stay and live with her for a while.
A DR. FRIEDMAN, is now the third in the bizarre series of killings. Her cause of death, hemorrhaging after being sexually satisfied with a statue of the Virgin Mother.
Gene under pressure to solve the case, sexualizes his frustration by forcibly having sex with Olga in the name of love. She calls it rape. He states it's an extension of their erotic sexual behavior.
Through a chain of events Woody becomes fond of Olga. Woody's image of Gene is shattered after learning of the video and Olga's so called rape by Gene. He further feels that Gene is not deserving of Olga. Woody then becomes aware of the violent argument between Olga and Andrew who has become a suspect and the next victim. Woody is drawn in and seduced by Olga which Gene walks in on. Gene and Woody struggle, Olga gets caught in the middle and is hospitalized and is put into intensive care. Olga darkest secret is uncovered while in the hospital, which helps put the pieces of the homicides together. Gene's apartment is searched and evidence, including proof that Gene was sexually involved with Theresa is found on tape. Gene is stunned to learn that Woody was brought into the case to study his unorthodox behavior, because of his non-threatening manner. Gene understands their suspicion, but denies all wrong doing. He explains that he is in the middle of some psycho twilight zone and had to get answers before he could explain his involvement. Without sufficient evidence Gene is told to temporarily give up his badge and gun, pending a hearing for withholding evidence and surely faces being thrown off the force. Sex has taken another step in ruining his life. Gene must know admit that he is a love and sexual addict. But, more overpowering, there is still a killer and there are potential victims and none of the players have been eliminated. And when that is all resolved, there are conflicts and relationships that must be mended.

Shortly after arriving in Jamaica she is met by a DAVID STANWICK and informed of the details of AJ's planned romantic interlude and is transported to an exotic private island. David is the owner of this romantic hideaway, who further informs her that AJ has been delayed and will not arrive until the following evening. Until then, charmed by David, she accepts his invitation to tour the island. That evening she enjoys champagne and dinner served in the naturally romantic tropical setting and finds herself psychologically fighting off sensual advances.
The following day Rachel becomes suspicious as David’s behavior seems increasingly strange, but he seems so well intentioned that she goes with the flow until David again reports that AJ is further delayed. Concerned Rachel tries to call out, but the phone lines are dead and her cell phone has no reception. Needing an explanation, she storms into David’s house and into his study to find David, and a portrait of herself hanging over the fireplace. Stunned, David casually proclaims his love to her. Rachel now knows AJ isn’t coming and she's in trouble!
AJ, out of town directing a project, becomes worried when he has not been able to contact Rachel on the phone. He abandons his work and returns to the apartment only to find the Rolex and a typed letter from Rachel stating “I need some time alone.” AJ refuses to believe that she would just leave as she did. The traumas of Rachel's kidnapping are bringing back memories of her incestuous relationship with her father, and given no other choice she shares her revelations with David. He’s compassionate and understanding, along with made up lies of his own abusive childhood creates a false bond between them, which almost erupts into passion, cooled only by David’s haunting memories of a murder he committed. As time passes, and believing that David will never let her go, she becomes determined to escape. Snapped, The Gloris DeLaurentis Story: My name is Gloria De Laurentis, I put eight bullets in my husband, Patrick Michael De Laurentis. I met him when I was a precocious eleven. Patrick was twenty-nine. I knew Patrick was going to be my "Knight in Shining Armor." Wrong, between the ages of eleven and fifteen, Patrick showed me pictures of nude boys and girls, had me watch him have sex with other children, and he gave me my first orgasm, at the age of twelve. We were married when I was fifteen and he was thirty-one. From the day we were married, he both physically and mentally abused me and got me hooked on Crack. The police constantly visited our home for domestic violence calls, until I killed him. When I was arraigned, I was charged with Second-Degree Murder and faced twenty-five years in prison.
Based on True Stories
None That I Know Of: The words “None That I Know Of” are intended as a humorous response to the question “Do you have any children.” Two and Half Men meets Love Story is the simplist way of describing the story of one man’s incredible journey, to find a child or children he didn’t know of. After years as a single dad and a series of serendipitous relationships, tragedy struck. A motorcycle accident claimed the life of his only child Joey, his clone - the sunshine of his life. Attempting to fill the void, he created the website, NoneThatIKnowOf.com, where he asks mothers, if for some unknown reason after our serendipitous encounter a child was conceived, and you were unable to locate him, here I am. The responses he received will amaze you and bring tears to your eyes.
The Caregiver: “If you believe, it is” The Caregiver is the true story of the love for a woman named Dawn, and a man’s mission to grant her dying wish; to have a romantic evening and diner in Paris. Dawn was dying of cervical cancer and had only months to live. Traveling to Europe was impossible. However, where there is hope and desire, anything is possible. I knew Dawn was excited about my arrival, but her other caregivers were less enthusiastic. They were afraid his presence would just add more stress to an already difficult situation. When he arrived at Dawn’s home, she was standing at the front door to greet him with a smile and tears. They held each other tightly, just as they had so many years before, completely unaware of the obstacles they would face.

A Camelot of the Biomedical Sciences: The Story of the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology
The history of science began with wonder. Its foundation was endless curiosity about the world and people brave enough to ask, what if? How? And why? It began in rudimentary laboratories set up by wealthy men in basements and emptied rooms. The British Royal Academy gave it a formal experimental structure. And for almost two centuries it was the exclusive domain of those wealthy and educated people able to find the time and resources to conduct their experiments.
To satisfy their own curiosity. The experimental laboratory is a relatively new invention, established mostly in universities before 1900. But laboratory science began growing with the realization that discoveries made in the lab could become valuable products. Edison proved those things discovered in laboratories had substantial commercial value. In the biomedical field two distinct industries came into creation: the prestigious laboratories and Universities where research was done to expand knowledge and commercial laboratories where it was done for profit. For decades, as the world’s pharmaceutical industry developed and prospered in the United States, they remained separate and distinct. And then, in 1967, one of the world’s pharmaceutical corporations, Hoffmann- La Roche changed that world, it created and funded a laboratory for pure scientific research. There had never before been anything like it in the pharmaceutical industry.
And this is the extraordinary story of the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology, told in the words of the people who created it. With its substantial profits, especially from the psychopharm- acologic drugs librium and valium, staid Hoffmann-La Roche decided to make a ubstantial investment in the future: It would establish a place where many of the best scientists in the world could work on projects of their own creation -- with guaranteed funding and no requirements to produce results – much less a product. It was a scientific Camelot. Roche began by recruiting several of the most respected scientists at the prestigious National Institutes of Health. The first two men to risk their careers by joining the as-yet nonexistent Roche Institute, Sidney Udenfriend and Herbert Weissbach, with the support of senior management at Hoffmann-La Roche, would build a dream into a world-renowned scientific research center.
By the time the Roche Institute closed its doors, a victim of the biotech revolution that resulted in numerous entrepreneurial start-ups funded by Wall Street dollars, its scientists had made significant contributions to biomedical research while training many of the next generations of great research scientists. The staff eventually included one Nobel Prize recipient and seven elected members of the National Academy of Science. And equally important, the institute had laid the path that Roche would follow into the future.
The history of laboratory science and the Roche Institute is told in these pages by the people who came to work and learn there, with the assistance of Herb Weissbach and best-selling author David Fisher.
The work done at the Institute in Nutley, New Jersey, although the Institute and Roche facilities are no longer in existence, continues to reverberate throughout the world of science – discoveries made there have become some of the basic building blocks in molecular biology and biotechnology and the thousand men and women trained there have become leaders in scientific research around the world today.

There is nothing that sends terror into every molecule of your being than to be told “you have cancer”. As a medical practitioner with over 20 years of experience I have seen my fair share of illness, injury and despair. Did everything right, had the tools to live a long happy, healthy and vital life. Not only did I blend the benefits of the ancient wisdom with that of technology (east meets west) but I taught and mentored others in kind. But none of this prepared me for that fateful day when I heard those words it is a blood cancer. I’m here to provide you with some comfort and direction should you or a loved one must deal with cancer or another life changing/threatening illness.
Healing the Mind & Body Through Injury and/or Chronic DiseaseI hope to share with you, about living and thriving while in the battle, caregivers and those seeking knowledge, the roller coaster ride from health returning back to health, the dips, the turns and screams, the terror and depression, and the tools that helped serve me very day. Don't wait till the bomb goes off, we need to have the tools, keep them polished and know how to use them precisely, because the time to learn how to use them is not in a time of desperation.
